Over five or seven days, you will enjoy a training experience lasting four to five hours a day, combining design theory and practice in perfect balance: you will learn about native plants, sustainable design, selecting drought-tolerant planting, and how to transform spaces into truly functional and beautiful gardens with healthy ecosystems.

Las Morenas Garden's landscape design courses are not generic courses. Each course is personally guided by Simon and Mhairi, who accompany each participant throughout the learning process.
We offer a complete immersion experience, where you can learn, disconnect, and reconnect with nature at the same time.
If you wish, you can stay at La Casita, a detached house for 2–4 people on the property, allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings in complete comfort.

Simon & Mhairi, the essence behind Las Morenas Garden
After more than twenty years designing and building gardens in London, Simon and Mhairi decided to start a new chapter in Andalucia. In 2016, they settled in Yunquera, drawn by the beauty of the Sierra de las Nieves and the desire to create their own sustainable Mediterranean garden.
Their international experience and passion for landscaping are reflected in every corner of the Las Morenas Garden, a place where they teach how to design drought-resistant gardens with a practical, respectful, and deeply connected approach to nature.
More than instructors, they are hosts and guides who share with you their ethos and way of life in landscaping: with warmth, authenticity, and love for the land.
